Setting Up mIRC For Downloading Accessing File Servers TDCC & XDCC

TDCCs

These types of servers are a little different to File servers. Instead of typing their trigger and going into another window, they server only one file and when you type the trigger you automatically do a "get" on that file.

TDCC ads look something like this:

As you can see from the above they are recognised by it saying "TDCC active" in their ad instead of the Fserve active it says for File Servers. The description in the ad usually tells you what the file is. So in this example if I wanted DZY1's "forth Love Hina Music video", I would type "/ctcp DZY1 NEW! Love Hina Music Video" and would automatically be queued for that file

XDCCs

XDCCs are quite different to TDCC and File servers.

You will see an ad something like this:

To get a list of the files on the XDCC server you type what it tells you to type for a listing. In this case it's "/msg sadisticroot xdcc list"

This will then give you something like this:

It tells you at the end how to get a file, in this case it's "/msg sadisticroot xdcc send #<file number>". So for example if I wanted to get "[Triad]Mahoromatic_S2_Ep01.avi" I would have to type "/msg sadisticroot xdcc send #06" because it's pack number is 06.
