Setting Up mIRC For Downloading Accessing File Servers TDCC & XDCC
Now that your client is set up to recieve files you need to access a file server to download from.
To do this you need to know the trigger of a server, type "!list" (without the quotes) in the channel to gain a list of file server advertisements.
File server advertisements look something like this:

Above we can see 2 file servers (Fserves for short), my server & Moparx's. The trigger is the text between the brackets after it says trigger (usually the trigger is in a different colour).
For my fserver the trigger is "/ctcp Soul|away !Anime", whereas Moparx's trigger is a little more confusing because he has 5 triggers, each one is seperated by a "&". So for Moparx his triggers are "!animemp3", "!hentai", "!animewallpapers", "!theanime" and "!jpop-jrock"
Once you know the trigger of the fserve you want to access:
Either copy this text (in mIRC you can select text as normal and when you let go it automatically copies it) and then paste on to your text field and press enter (for ctcp triggers it is better to paste in the Status window because some channels kick you out for pasting ctcp trigger wrong).
Or you can type the whole trigger out yourself
Next you should see something like this pop up:

Type "dir" to get a list of files or dirctories on the server:

Above all those that are shown are directories because the don't have a file extension.
To get into a directory you type "cd directoryname" for example to get into the LOVE HINA AGAIN directory you type "cd LOVE HINA AGAIN" and then type "dir" again to get a list of files in that directory:

If the file you want isn't there type "cd .." to go back to the previous directory (The main directory in this example)
If it is type "get filename" for example if I wanted lha_ep01_[anbu].avi, I would type "get lha_ep01_[anbu].avi":

You will either get the send straight away, in this case a dialog box would appear that shows the get status:

Or as seen above you maybe queued (queue 2 in this example)
Now you have got a send or queue type "exit" to leave the fserve and it will say "DCC session closed"
Now all you have to do is stay in the channel and wait for the send
If you can't remember all the commands to start with (and for some extra commands) type "help" in the fserve window, this gives a list of commands with explanations to what they do.
